YOUR WEBSITE PERSON
One person. Properly accountable.
I’m Chris Hurst, a freelance designer and developer based in Wharton, New Jersey. I’ve been working on websites since 2007, and I like making complicated problems easier to understand.
Make the fix.
Keep it working.
WordPress · Shopify · Squarespace
A designer’s eye. A developer’s hands.
My background brings together graphic design, UX, development and search visibility. That means I look at more than the score in a testing tool. I want to know whether someone can understand the page, trust the business and take the next step without a fight.
I work directly with the people who own the problem. You explain what is happening; I investigate, explain the options and do the agreed work. There is no account-manager relay or mystery team behind a shared inbox.
I’m originally from Lancashire, and now call Morris County home. I work remotely with businesses across the United States and beyond. Whether your website sells products or helps customers book a service, the aim is the same: make it useful, dependable and easier to look after.
THE APPROACH
Why diagnose, repair and maintain?
A website does not always need a redesign. Sometimes it needs a better contact route, a cleaned-up integration or a few pages that explain the service properly. Sometimes the foundations are the problem and rebuilding makes sense.
The diagnosis comes first so we can tell the difference. Published prices make the conversation more useful. Ongoing care gives the work a better chance of staying in good shape.
What clients say.
Outstanding and professional service, with attention to detail on my website design, and responsive to my needs along with applicable advice. Excellent.
Chris did a terrific job working with us to redesign and rebrand our website.
The website looks sharp, we’re ranking higher on Google, and the inquiries just keep rolling in.
