CHRIS HURST DESIGN

Service terms

These terms describe services supplied by Chris Hurst, trading as Chris Hurst Design, based in Wharton, New Jersey. Contact chris@chrishurstdesign.com about an order or these terms. The specific written scope approved for your project forms part of our agreement.

Website checks and paid teardowns

The free check examines a limited set of public pages and available third-party measurements. The $29 teardown provides the complete findings generated by those checks, explanatory content, related DIY guides, repair options and a downloadable PDF. The private online report remains available for 12 months from payment. A downloaded PDF does not expire.

Automated checks have limits. They do not prove that a form delivers email, that a website is free from malware, that all pages are indexed or that a site conforms fully to an accessibility standard. Performance results vary between runs. AI-assisted interpretation, where used, is supplementary to the recorded measurements.

If the paid report is not delivered, contact Chris within seven days of payment to request a refund. If a delivery failure is discovered later, contact Chris so the record can be reviewed. This does not limit any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Repair requests and approval

Selecting a fix or submitting a request does not purchase repair work. Chris reviews the website and supplies a written scope, price, exclusions and timing. Only an approved quote provides a payment link. Quotes are normally valid for 14 days. Work starts after the agreed payment and required access are received.

Published packages apply to one website and the agreed pages or functions. Third-party fees, platform subscriptions, paid licences, hosting charges, additional content and unrelated development are excluded unless the written scope includes them. Any material scope change is quoted before the additional work starts. All displayed prices are in US dollars; the approved quote and checkout show the charges due.

Discounts and credits

Three or more eligible fix packs in one order receive a 10% discount on those packs. Hourly work and independent quote reviews do not count toward this bundle. A paid teardown can be credited once against an eligible fix order over $200. The same credit cannot be reused across several orders. A $99 independent quote-review fee can be credited against a subsequent rebuild when confirmed in the approved quote.

Payment and cancellation

Approved repair work is normally paid before work starts. Rebuilds use a 50% deposit and a 50% balance at launch. The approved quote identifies the exact amounts. Fix orders are refundable before work begins. Once work has started, any cancellation is assessed against work already completed, committed costs and the agreed scope. Contact Chris before cancelling so the position can be documented.

Delivery and workmanship

Turnaround starts after scope acceptance, payment and the required materials and access. Delays in client responses or third-party services can affect delivery. The emergency package targets a start within 48 hours after acceptance; it does not promise that every incident will be fully resolved within that period.

Delivered fixes have a 14-day workmanship guarantee covering regression of the work Chris delivered. Rebuilds have a separate 30-day workmanship warranty. These cover correction of the delivered work, not new requirements, platform outages, changes made later by another party or unrelated defects. Report a suspected regression promptly with the affected URL and a description of the behaviour.

Care plans

Care starts after a site review and approval. Monthly subscriptions renew until cancelled. Annual subscriptions provide 12 months for the price of ten and renew annually unless cancelled. Cancellation stops the next renewal; the service continues through the paid term. Prepaid periods are not automatically prorated or refunded.

The plan’s hours are the total allowance for the agreed monthly work and do not roll over. Beacon has no town limit, but delivery remains within the agreed scope and monthly allowance. Basic uptime checks are scheduled requests rather than continuous monitoring. Monthly rescans cover the measurements available to the service. SiteDrift is a future integration and is not included in the present service.

An eligible monthly plan may receive a $99 first month when bought with a paid teardown or fix. The offer and subsequent recurring price must appear in the approved scope. Rebuilds include three months of Tune-Up care from delivery; a later paid subscription requires a separate agreement.

Access, materials and ownership

You must have authority to request work on the website and supply any required access through the agreed secure route. Do not put passwords in public enquiry forms. You are responsible for the accuracy and rights to materials you supply. Ownership and licences for custom work and third-party components are described in the project scope. Third-party software retains its own licence terms.

Results and responsibilities

The service commits to the agreed work and checks. It does not guarantee search rankings, rich results, revenue, lead volume or uninterrupted third-party services. Please raise concerns through the contact email so they can be investigated against the written scope.
