THE WEBSITE WORKSHOP
Add structured data that matches your page
Structured data describes content in a format machines can understand. It should reflect information that actually appears on the website.
1. Inspect existing output
Identify what the platform, theme or SEO tool already generates. Duplicating that output can introduce contradictions.
2. Choose relevant types
Use the types appropriate to the business and page. A service page and product page have different information to describe.
3. Keep facts consistent
Names, prices, availability and business details need to agree with the visible content and current business records.
4. Validate and set expectations
Use the relevant validation tools and fix actual errors. Valid markup supports eligibility; it does not guarantee a rich search result.
When to ask for help
Stop if the change affects a critical workflow, requires access you do not have or produces a result you cannot explain. Keep the original evidence and a restorable backup. A short, well-defined repair request is easier to review than a series of speculative changes.
Related repair: request a scope review. Choose your platform on the request form; availability and price are confirmed before payment.
